Most of the images posted result from catching a train here and there along UP's Palestine Subdivision. I monitor Spring Dispatch and area Hot Box Detectors from my home and know the crossings well enough that I can position out ahead of northbound traffic in Grapeland. Other locations are the work of chance and blunder, by chance I hear a train coming or I blunder up on something. Chance favors the well prepared man...I always carry a camera.
